Fourth Strategy Meeting of the Gender and Trade Coalition

The Gender and Trade Coalition (GTC) will convene its fourth strategy meeting from November 30 - December 1, 2024, just ahead of the 15th AWID Forum in Bangkok, Thailand from 2-5 December 2024. In this reflective space, a cross-section of feminist organizations and allies drawn from the Coalition’s Steering Group (SG), ‘friends of GTC,’ and membership of 300+ organizations globally—will strengthen the GTC’s capacity to analyze and oppose the neoliberal instrumentalization of women’s rights as a tool to facilitate the free flow of capital, resources, and labor.

With AWID’s acceptance of GTC’s workshop, ‘Building Feminist Alliances for Trade Justice: Towards radical economic healing and rebuilding’ on 3 December from 2:30-3:45 Bangkok time, plans for a hybrid strategy meeting took shape with the following key objectives, including: a) Celebrating our work, b) Translating and promoting our analysis into advocacy, c) Organizing ourselves, and d) Building synergy in our communications strategy.
